The W Medical Group is seeking to hire skilled and compassionate LCSWs, LMSWs or LMHCs who can work independently, as well as in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team as a primary therapist, who identifies psychosocial issues and concerns of adults residing in various Assisted Living Facilities and provide clinical services that will improve and/or maintain their mental health, a major part of healthy living.  No travel is required each Social Worker will be dedicated to the Assisted Living facility near his/her home. The W Group will provide a medical assistant to assist you with scheduling and assisting in bringing the patients to the appointments

**For candidates holding LMSW this position offers the opportunity to accrue clinical client and supervisory hours to-wards LCSW**

**For candidates holding LCSW and LMHC this position provides the opportunity to further hone skills need for Private Practice**

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be responsible for providing individual and/or group therapy to residents of various Assisted Living Facilities. Candidate will be interacting with adults currently impacted by mental and/or behavioral health issues within facilities.  Candidate will be responsible for engaging, assessing, and treating the residents to generate healthy, well-adjusted lives.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties include functioning, under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician, as a primary therapist for a subset of residents in the Assisted Living Facilities; conducting and documenting initial bio-psychosocial/diagnostic assessment; developing treatment plans; and maintaining progress notes and other related documentation. The therapist is responsible for facilitating supportive, psycho-educational, and insight-oriented psychotherapeutic interventions; providing crisis interventions to high-risk patients, engaging with them in improving and maintaining their mental health. The candidate is responsible for collaborating with appropriate personnel and/or the interdisciplinary team to develop most appropriate treatment plan, while documenting all interventions within the required regulatory time-frames. Candidates will participate in individual supervision and departmental training programs that will introduce new developments and techniques within the mental health discipline.

Qualifications

  • A valid NYS Licensed Master Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor.
  • One to two years of professional experience providing direct client care is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, English proficiency is a must, however the ability to communicate in a secondary language is a plus.

Annual Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
