 Paralegal – Assisted Living Facility Management

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our team and provide essential legal and administrative support to our company attorney.

 

Flexible Schedule- 3 or 4 days per week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Medical Records Management
    • Review medical record requests for accuracy and completeness.
    • Gather and submit required records to fulfill requests efficiently.
  2. Claims Submission and Management
    • Prepare and submit claims to insurance brokers or other relevant entities.
    • Monitor claims to ensure timely processing and resolution.
  3. Scheduling and Coordination
    • Organize and coordinate meetings with legal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective communication and preparation for all meetings.
  4. Document and Deadline Management
    • Track critical deadlines, such as court dates, depositions, and settlement timelines.
    • Maintain an organized system for case-related documents and correspondence.
  5. Settlement Assistance
    • Oversee the disbursement of settlement payments with accurate documentation and tracking.
    • Organize and archive settlement-related records for future reference.
  6. Investigation and Risk Assessment
    • Conduct investigations to collect information and evidence for potential claims.
    • Collaborate with the legal team to assess risks and provide actionable recommendations.
  7. Vendor Contract Review
    • Perform initial reviews of vendor contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
    • Highlight areas requiring further review or input and maintain organized records of vendor agreements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Paralegal certification or associate degree in paralegal studies required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years in a legal or paralegal role, with experience in healthcare or corporate law highly desirable.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to confidentiality.
