Resident Safety Coordinator

The W Assisted Living Communities is looking for a Resident Safety Coordinator. We have our eye out for a compassionate and energetic candidate.
The Resident Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a peaceful, safe and friendly environment within the Assisted Living Facility. This individual will be the first responder for interventions when a safety matter arises among people in the space, including staff, community members, and other guests.
We are currently looking to fill a double shift Saturday and Sunday, both days from 9AM to 1AM.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The coordinator seeks to reduce risk factors, promote safety throughout the facility
- This role encompasses violence prevention, de-escalation, and restoration
- Serve as the first point of contact for any safety concerns to intervene and de-escalate situations
- Proactively initiate non-judgmental conversations to create and maintain relationships and provide a consistent presence
- Make recommendations to improve Center policies to increase community safety and engagement,
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant experience in safety management, including de-escalation and or conflict resolution preferred
- Experience working directly with vulnerable populations
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal, verbal, communication skills

- Coordinate clinical care for residents
- Clear and concise documentation in accordance with facility requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Prior experience in Long Term Care a PLUS or 2 years’ experience as a Case Manager
- Previous case management and Compuware experience a plus
- Excellent phone skills and ability to work with families/other care providers
